At High Caliber Contracting, we recently completed a house lifting project in Guilford, CT. The house had been leaning by almost 10 inches because it was originally built on tiny brick piers without footings. This caused a lot of problems for the homeowners, so they reached out to us for help.
Our team started by planning how we were going lift and straighten the house safely. Using our house raising expertise, we lifted the house off its unstable foundation. During the lift, we carefully straightened the house to meet the owner’s satisfaction. It was a tough job, but we worked hard to make sure everything was done right.
After lifting and straightening the house, they constructed a new enclosed foundation that meets the current flood codes. This new foundation is much stronger and more secure than the old brick piers, providing a solid base for the house. We made sure it was built to last, giving the homeowners peace of mind.
Finally, we carefully lowered the house onto the new foundation. The homeowners were very happy with the results. Their house is now level and secure, thanks to our house lifting and house-raising skills. At High Caliber Contracting, we are proud to have helped another Connecticut family, and we look forward to taking on more projects like this in the future.
